Optical beamsplitter filter:

 

In some cases, the beamsplitter filter does not allow significant absorption, then we must use all-dielectric beamsplitter. according to the applicatons ,beamsplitter may be flat glass splitter splitter or prism beam splitter, the advantage is low absorption, almost negligible; defects is that a narrow spectral range, polarization were obvious and significant perspective effect. For metal splitter filter, Advantage is neutral good, widely spectral range, polarization effects are small; defects is to absorb large, the threshold is low. note the direction of incident light.
